FAQ
Questions people actually ask.
Twenty of them, answered the way we would answer on the phone.
Pricing & scope
How much does a website cost?
Most projects land between $4,500 and $18,000 depending on page count, whether you need branding, and whether you are selling or booking online. You will get one fixed number in your proposal after the free consult. We do not quote ranges and then invoice the top of them.
Why is a custom site more expensive than a template?
Because it is a different product. A template is rented layout; a custom build is a business asset you own, tuned to how your customers actually decide. If a template genuinely fits your business, we will tell you to use one rather than sell you something you do not need.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Standard terms are a deposit to book the slot, a payment at design approval and the balance at launch. Longer schedules are available on larger projects — ask on the call.
What if I need something added halfway through?
We price the addition separately and you approve it before any work starts. The original number does not quietly grow.
Timeline & process
How long does it take?
Typically six to ten weeks end to end, with first mockups about two weeks after the strategy phase. The most common cause of delay is waiting on content and photos, so we tell you exactly what is needed on day one.
Can you work faster?
Yes, with priority scheduling at a premium. What we will not do is skip the strategy phase, because that is where the expensive mistakes get caught.
How many rounds of revisions do I get?
Two structured rounds at the mockup stage, which is where changes are cheap. The number is in your proposal so nobody is guessing.
Do I have to be technical?
Not at all. You need opinions about your business, not opinions about hosting.
Ownership & aftercare
Do I own the website?
Completely. Domain, hosting account, analytics, source code and all brand files are in your name. If you ever want to move to another provider you take everything, and we will help with the handoff.
What happens after launch?
You get documentation, a recorded walkthrough and every credential. Support is included for 30 to 180 days depending on the package. After that a care plan is available but never required — the site keeps working either way.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Project work is a fixed-price agreement for that project. Retainers are month to month, with the single exception of local SEO, which needs a six-month runway to be worth paying for at all.
Can I edit the site myself?
Yes. Content areas are set up so you can change text, photos, hours and prices without touching code, and the walkthrough covers exactly how.
Marketing & results
Will my site actually rank on Google?
For local searches, usually yes — that is the winnable game, and it is built into every project through service-area pages, schema markup and your Google Business Profile. National rankings for competitive terms take sustained content work over months, and we will be straightforward about which category you are in.
What does AI automation actually mean for a small business?
Concretely: a customer fills out a form at 9 p.m. and gets an accurate, personalized response in two minutes instead of the next morning. A finished job automatically triggers a review request. A quote gets drafted from your pricing rules and waits for your approval. It removes admin work, not decisions.
Do you guarantee results?
No, and be wary of anyone who does — nobody controls Google or your market. What we do guarantee is that we agree the numbers we are trying to move before we start, and report against them honestly afterwards.
Who writes the copy?
We do, and it is included. You will be interviewed about the business and you approve every word. If you would rather write it yourself, the price adjusts down.
Working together
Do you work with businesses outside your area?
Yes. The work is done remotely and the process is built around two video calls. Local search strategy works the same whether your town is one state away or five.
Do you work with startups or only established businesses?
Both. Established businesses usually need a rebrand and better conversion. New businesses usually need naming, positioning and something credible to point at. Different work, same process.
What if I already have a website?
We audit it first and tell you honestly whether it needs a rebuild or just fixes. Sometimes the right answer is a few thousand dollars of repair rather than a new build, and we would rather say that than sell you the bigger project.
What if it is not a fit?
We will say so on the first call and point you somewhere better. That call is free specifically so neither of us wastes a month finding out.
Start with a conversation.
Thirty to sixty minutes, no charge, no pitch deck. You leave with a plan and a fixed-price proposal — whether or not you hire us.
